PERFORMED WITH ELEGANCE
Michael's love of magic began when he found a book. It wasn't in a library. It wasn't at a book store. It wasn't at school. And it definitely wasn't recommended by anyone. It was on a dusty shelf in a dark attic.

His grandfather lived in Liberty, NY. A small, quaint, and practically forgotten town in the center of the "Borscht Belt" located in the Catskill mountains. Before Michael was born, his grandfather had closed his small "5-and-10" store located on Main Street, but had retained a lot of his old inventory in the attic and basement of his home.

Michael's grandfather taught him how to play Gin Rummy, Pinochle, and Poker. His father taught him Backgammon and Chess. Neither would ever let him win (well, maybe once in a while.) One taught him games of chance and probabilities. The other taught him games of strategy and luck. Both taught him about games of the mind.

When Michael was 12 years old, he found that book sitting on that old dusty shelf. For no reason other than its title, it immediately grabbed his attention. The name of that book..."The Expert at the Card Table" by S.W. Erdnase. A book detailing "sleight of hand, cheating, and legerdemain with a pack of cards." When he opened the book, his journey began.

That journey turned into an Obsession, which then turned into a Passion. It is that passion that has driven Michael to become an Expert at sleight of hand, magic, and mind reading. He has traveled the world sharing what he's learned with others. Even today, Michael never goes anywhere without a pack of cards and practices his craft whenever he can find the time. He has honed his Craft to a form of Art.

By the time Michael was 15, his grandfather never won another game of Gin Rummy again...(well, maybe once a while.)
